When
a customer order is placed, a job sheet with bill of material is created to go
with any customer provided documentation. The revision level of customer drawing
is confirmed and the parts required are reserved from stock and/or purchased as
necessary. The production schedule is
set. All parts are staged for the job
and placed in production staging area for the product to be manufactured.
During
the manufacturing state the bulk wire is inspected for correct wire type,
gauge, color and safety agency documentation and cut/strip length. Contact terminations are tested for pull
strength. Product is pinned out and
tested for opens, shorts, miswires and continuity. After the completion of additional steps
product is visually inspected and tested electrically. Upon completion of assemblies, before being
packaged for shipment items are reviewed by a quality technician for compliance
with the customer specifications and internal bill of material/ job sheet.
